Ed Orgeron is a full-time head coach again for the first time since 2007 when he led Ole Miss to a 3-9 record.
Orgeron was the Rebels’ head coach for three seasons and posted losing records in all three.
He had an interim sting at USC where he went 6-2 and another interim stint last year at LSU going 6-2. He got the LSU job in late November.
Orgeron met with the media last week at SEC Media Days. The following in a transcript of that session.
Q: How do you think you are different now as a head coach than you were during your time at Ole Miss?
A: I’m very grateful for my time at Ole Miss. I had a great job, a job in the SEC. Was given a great chance. I wasn’t ready. I went there as defensive line coach. I did the things that I did at the defensive line coach and was very successful over the years. It didn’t work at Ole Miss.
