Darby was carted off of FedEx Field last Sunday with 11:51 to play in the second quarter of the Eagles’ win over the Washington Redskins, when he suffered a dislocated right ankle.

PHILADELPHIA — When Eagles cornerback Ronald Darby entered into the locker room on Wednesday, his injured ankle was in a boot and resting on an all-black roll-a-bout as he pushed his way to his locker.

The image was not good. The news, however, was.

“For sure,” Darby said when asked if he would play again this season. “It’s good. It ain’t bad.”

At the time, the gruesome injury seemed to be season-ending. That did not end up being the case, however, as Darby says he is only expected to miss four-to-six weeks.

“It shouldn’t take that long to get back in shape,” Darby said.
