What this week’s slate lacks in marquee games it more than makes up for with interesting spreads. We struggled last week, going 3-7 against the spread, due to a bit of an overreaction to the opening week and some bad breaks. Armed with more information, let’s pick some winners for the 10 best games of Week 3…

Tennessee at Florida (-4.5)

Tennessee was lucky to escape its opener with a win over a Georgia Tech team that dominated the game. The Gators offense should be able to put up points and the defense will have no problems handling the Vols at home. Lay the points.

Oklahoma State (-13.5) at Pittsburgh

Expect Pitt to employ a gameplan similar to the one it used against Penn State. They’ll try to control the ball and keep the ball out of Oklahoma State’s hands. The Panthers were able to do that against a good Penn State defense, so don’t be surprised if they succeed against the Cowboys. I’ll take the points.
