Hart injured his ankle in Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys.
EAST RUTHERFORD — Giants right tackle Bobby Hart said that he plans to play in Monday night’s game against the Lions. But his pronounced limp and the heavy wrap on his right ankle on Wednesday suggested otherwise.
“I’m day-to-day, just getting better,” Hart said. “Just doing everything that I can so I can get ready.”
Hart said his ankle “got rolled up” on the fifth or sixth play of Sunday’s 19-3 loss to the Cowboys in the season opener. He played the rest of the game.
“I didn’t really have no choice,” Hart said. “You don’t really want to come out in that situation. So, you just try to do everything that you can to give it up for the team.”

“I mean it’s my ankle, bro. You try blocking on an ankle,” Hart said. “You’re trying to stop people from pushing you and you’re trying to plant on your ankle. It is what it is. It comes with the game.”
