The Lindsay household could be a dangerous place back when brothers Phillip and Zach were growing up in Denver. Example A: Mom brought home a new refrigerator once, and soon after, an indoor scuffle led both boys running wild through the kitchen.

Zach laughed while finishing the story: “He chased me, I opened the refrigerator door, and it was all over.” Ouch. A classic brother rivalry.

Phillip is now a senior University of Colorado tailback. Zach plays the same position at Northern Colorado. They’ll share the same field starting noon Saturday in Boulder when the Buffaloes host the Bears.

“I’ve been playing with my brother since I was four years old,” Zach said. “This will be the first time I’ve ever played against him. It’s a little bit different. It’s exciting.”
