The Cleveland Browns have been among the most active teams this offseason and finally look poised to not be the absolute worst.

Deion Sanders doesn’t care about all that, though. According to the Hall of Famer, young quarterbacks should refuse to play for the Browns and pull an Eli Manning come draft day.

I love what the @Browns have done this offseason but if im a young QB ain’t no way im going to Cleveland. I would pull a ELI MANNING If possible. #ThinkAboutthat #Truth

Sanders wouldn’t elaborate on why he’d give this advice, which was disappointing because it made little sense from a football standpoint.

While the Browns have historically been where quarterback careers go to die, the recent moves and draft picks should make Cleveland an attractive destination for a young quarterback. This QB will have Josh Gordon, Jarvis Landry and David Njoku to throw to. There will be Duke Johnson and the potential of Saquon Barkley to hand the ball off to. This quarterback would be protected by one of the NFL’s top offensive lines.

On paper, that would make for an ideal place to start an NFL career for a quarterback — all the pieces are there.

Maybe Deion just wouldn’t want to live in Cleveland.
