Sam Bradford did it again. Or, more accurately, his agent, Tom Condon, did it again. After another season lost to injury, Bradford is expected to sign a $20 million deal with the Cardinals when free agency opens up on Wednesday.

That’s a lot of money, and it will make Bradford one of the highest paid players in the league. But that’s nothing new for the former Rams/Eagles/Vikings quarterback. He’s been one of the highest paid players in the NFL throughout his career, raking in $114 million over eight seasons.

While players are typically happy to see one of their peers break the bank, Bradford seems to be the exception. He was once ripped by Michael Bennett for being overpaid. And now Eric Weddle is doing the same…

So dumb. Bradford has been paid more for nothing than anyone in history of nfl

The Ravens safety has a point. Check out Bradford’s earnings per season compared to some of the top quarterbacks in the league…

Sam Bradford: $14,260,550.50
Peyton Manning: 13,818,444.44
Philip Rivers: $13,422,689.71
Andrew Luck: $13,184,666.33
Cam Newton: $12,813,166.28
Ben Roethlisberger: $12,163,347.42
Drew Brees: $11,356,901.37
Tom Brady: $10,953,711.33
Aaron Rodgers: $10,549579.15
Russell Wilson: $9,810,420

Those nine quarterbacks have combined for 67 Pro Bowls, 14 All-Pro teams, 11 MVPs, 12 Super Bowl wins in 20 appearances. Sam Bradford has never been to a Pro Bowl or All-Pro team. He’s never won MVP or been to a Super Bowl. He’s never even started a playoff game.

It pays to be an oft-injured quarterback with tons of potential, kids.
